Did you miss us? I was a little too busy last week, so I wasn't able to send out a newsletter. Over the last couple weeks, I've been installing, tuning, and tweaking X-Windows for Linux on my home system. There were some snags, but overall it went well. I haven't seen an M$ product in about a week now and I can't say I miss it. News-Update & Web-Update... I finished the security setup tonight and will be building the interface this week. NewsUpdate will be first, since it should be easier to implement. MySQL is working... If you want to use it, let me know. I used WWWThreads (http://www.wwwthreads.org) to test it. The program turned out to be better than I thought, so I'll probably use that for the global message board. Counter tweaks... At the request of a couple sites, both the text and graphical counter specially mark multiples of 500,000 so the screen shots are harder to fake. I guess that's it. -- Brian
